About Me
In her late 20s, Katie’s parents died of ALS and cancer within years of each other. The grief that ensued changed Katie and often inspires her work. In addition to grief, her writing focuses on women's health, mental health and parenting. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times Magazine, Parents Magazine, Elle Magazine, USA Today and Newsweek, among other publications. She is currently working on a children’s book about grief, forever practicing her patience and probably listening to Reggaeton.
